I’m in the messy process of consolidating this and my website into one I self host – I might cave and get a neocities though. I’m giving in to the dale gribble part of me a bit and attempting to de-google, to use decentralized platforms as much a possible. It may be the equivalent of buying an umbrella for the Pompeii eruption, but it also doesn’t hurt. There is very little left of value on social media, even on YouTube – or so it often feels to me. I mention this in the second audio, but I’ve been watching Nebula a lot more, and have wondered if Drew or Eddy or Nakey Jakey had any thoughts of posting there as well.

Driving trip to Chicago 2.0 is coming up faster than I realize – I wanted to actually plan out bonus time there, and with school it had to be the 5 days before the show. I’m getting a place in Lisle, near the arboretum. Honestly I could probably spend all 5 days in the forest drawing and vibing, but I do wanna see if there’s anything going on at the theophilosophical society in Wheaton. Maybe I’ll pop by the library and kilwins again, since that was so cozy. I’m curious to see how spring will look compared to fall. Will it be anywhere close to as magically picturesque? If it is I’m gonna be kinda pissed. It’s a gravity that pulls hard, but the ties to my life here are still double knotted. Or…are those not actually ties, but just the inertia of familiarity?

I wanted to see if my new favorite band The Strike had any shows near me, but I saw instead they have a show at the same venue as Danny at the start of July. Out of curiosity, I checked the IO theater to see if I’d get a second chance at the Extremely Laughs and Incredibly Jokes show, but no such luck it would seem. I don’t know how likely that July show is to sell out, but it does give me extra motive to keep my ear to the ground for sneaky Danny shows in summer.

I have a few audio logs, in case those were missed. This first one is a reflection on Taylor’s music video for Anti-Hero

A bit about Danny’s acting, and what his future might hold —

And finally, some quick experiments with abstract art. These are note cards I did while listening to some of my current favorite songs – Sleepwalking by All Time Low, The Feeling by Nightly, and Faint of Heart and Until the Lights go out both by The Strike.
